Textile Creativity with Lala de Dios

This summer Indigo Textil is once again scheduling workshops at Casa Monte Oribio.

• Weaving on low heddle looms on 4 and 8 heddle tables (the looms will be assembled and ready to weave...).

• Initiation to natural dyes (Classification of natural dyeing materials, how the dye is extracted, preparation of the fibers before dyeing...)

• Magic Blue: the art and science of indigo dyeing (Preparation of an organic vat of indigo...)

• Tannins as mordants and colorants (Classification of tannins. Their use as mordants for cellulose fibers...).

• Black is Black workshop! (A good black is one of the most complicated colors to obtain in natural dyeing and requires the mixture of more than one dye and tannins and metallic salts...).
