Charo Pita was born at the age of six when she finished reading her first book. She began to narrate stories by voice in 1994 and traveled with them around the world, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Galicia, Spain... Her work covers various areas of the fabulous, she narrates for children, teenagers and adults. She also teaches storytelling and expressive reading workshops. She has published about twenty books, most of them in Galician language and many of them for children, in publishers such as Kalandraka, Oqo, Malas Compañías, Galaxia, Xerais, La Fragatina, Palabras del Candil... One of her most personal facets is working with words and music. Advancing in this line he published a book of poems set to music No país do vento. He has also won some literary prizes such as the IV contest of Winter Stories organized by Civicam in 2007 (Inviernos a medida), the Illas Sisargas poetry prize in 2020 (O cuarto de Jane), the Manuel Murguía of short stories in 2018 (Bochorno), the Espiral Maior of poetry in 2001 (Desde Arcadia para Govinda). She has studied Hispanic Philology and theater with the Romanian director Theodoro Smeu Stermin. She has participated as an actress and director in some Galician theater productions. She loves to explore the fantastic dimension of every daily act. She finds life admirable, but sometimes the world hurts her.
